Security settings of the PROMOTIC system
Protection of PROMOTIC system folders |
Protect the PROMOTIC system | If checked, then the protection of PROMOTIC main folder, the licence server folder (\Promotic\LicServer), the tools folder PROMOTIC (\Promotic\Tools) and the versions folder is set so only the users with administrator rights can make modifications. The protection of other folders is set to allow any logged-in user do changes. If not checked, then the folder protection is set to allow any logged-in user do changes in all PROMOTIC system folders. |
Apply | Applies requested changes of the PROMOTIC system security. Administrator permission may be required for this operation. |
Protect selected folder |
Path to the folder | Path to selected fodler. Only subfolders inside the PROMOTIC main folder can be selected. |
Protect folder | If checked, then the protection of selected folder will be set so the modifications in this folder can be done only by users with administrator rights. If not checked, then the protection of selected folder will be set so the modifications in this folder can be done by any logged-in user. |

Windows groups:
Reading the list of
Windows groups to which the specified user belongs. The selected PROMOTIC group name can then be specified as the value of of the "
Name of corresponding Windows group" configurator.
Name or address of the computer (domain) | Name or address of the computer (domain), on which to load list Windows groups. |
User name | Name for which list Windows groups are to be loaded. |
Password | Password is used only for user login test. You do not need to enter the password to retrieve the list of Windows groups. |
Login test | Tests the validity of the entered username and password. |
Windows groups | List of local and global Windows groups to which the specified user belongs. |
Load groups | Retrieves list Windows groups for the specified user. |
Copy selected | Copies selected Windows groups to into the Windows clipboard. |
Copy all | Copies all Windows groups to into the Windows clipboard. |
Save into the file | Saves all Windows groups into the text file. |
