Communication with meters and regulators by the West Instruments company

The West Instruments company (https://www.west-cs.com) supplies a wide variety of meters (e.g. 6010+, 8010+) and regulators (e.g. 2300, 6500, 6100+, 8100+, 4100+, 6170+, 8170+, 4170+, 6120, 8200, 4200, 6600, 8600, 6400, 4400, MLC9000+, ProVU4).

Communication by the Modbus protocol

Each device is equipped with RS232 port connector. The RS485 port is optional.
The devices communicate by the Modbus RTU protocol.
The MLC9000+ and ProVU4 regulators can also be connected to the Ethernet by the Modbus TCP/IP protocol.

For this communication in the PROMOTIC system can be used:
- PmModbusMr - Driver for communication by the Modbus Master protocol.
For easy integration of this driver into the application it is handy to use:
- Preconfiguration "PmModbusMr - West 6100+ temperature sensor and regulator (Modbus RTU) - Communication set with data and panel"
- Preconfiguration "PmModbusMr - West VU4 (Modbus RTU) - Communication set with data and panel"
- Preconfiguration "PmModbusMr - Communication set with data and panel for non-defined device"
