Preconfiguration "PmS7 - Ethernet Simatic S7-300/400/1500, VIPA, etc. - Communication set with data and panel"

Communication driver configuration PmS7 - Driver for communication by the S7-TCP/IP protocol.

This preconfiguration can be activated when creating a new object (e.g. by "New object ..." in the context menu of the object or by pressing the Insert key after selecting the object).

This preconfiguration is included in the "/ Communication / Protocols and other communications / S7" group.

This preconfiguration can be created in the PmaFolder, PmaRoot or PmaPrototype object.

The preconfiguration creates an object of the PmaComm type and a testing data set. Also the panel with complex Pmg objects is created for displaying the status.

- The preconfiguration creates an object of the PmaFolder type containing PmaComm object with PmaCommGroup subobject and following objects: PmaPanel, PmaData.

- The preconfiguration is created including the panel (object of the PmaPanel type) is functional also as Web panel.

- The panel serves for communication testing and it is not essential for the communication functionality.

In the PmaComm object named "Comm" the communication parameters are set (Network address, ...). The required data is defined in the PmaData object and connected by ExtComm to the PmaCommGroup object.

These configurators can be set before the preconfiguration is created:

The name of created object	Name of the object created in the Pma object tree. The maximum name length is 30 characters. This is a system name, so it must contain only alphanumeric and must not contain any diacritics (i.e. national dependent characters), empty string, spaces and first character must not be a number. Default: "S7_comm"

Network address	Network address of the remote device (e.g. of the PLC device), to which the communication will be connected. The address can be entered as: - IPv4 full address (e.g. "192.168.0.15") - IPv4 address of this computer (i.e. "127.0.0.1") - IPv4 computer name (e.g. "server11") - IPv4 name of this computer (i.e. "localhost") - IPv6 full address (e.g. "2a02:c38:8136:800a:37a:ab66:6fc9:accd") - IPv6 address of this computer (i.e. "::1") Macro expression can be used for input (it is evaluated after the application is launched). After the preconfiguration is created, the "PmaComm > Setting the parameters of the Ethernet-client > Network address" configurator will be set to this value.
Communication refresh rate [ms]	The period in milliseconds to be used for reading the current data by the PROMOTIC application. After the preconfiguration is created, the "PmaCommGroup > Parameters > Communication refresh rate [ms]" configurator will be set to this value.
Rack	(0-7) Specifies the rack number where the CPU for communication is located. Usually is 0.
CPU Slot	(0-31) Specifies the slot number where the CPU for communication is located. (Caution: it is NOT the slot of the communication card!) - Very often the value is 2. - For built-in Ethernet interface (e.g. S7-1200, S7-1500, CPU1512SP ...) the value is 1.
