Communication with Omron PLC devices

Communication possibilities with Omron PLC devices:

The FINS protocol

Communication by the FINS protocol in Omron networks.
For this communication in the PROMOTIC system can be used:
- PmOmronFINS - Driver for communication with OMRON PLC devices by the FINS protocol
For easy integration of this driver into the application it is handy to use:
- Preconfigurations in group "Omron"


- The communication is done for Ethernet (PROMOTIC application is client).
- The PROMOTIC application is the Master (it means that it initiates the data transfer) from this communication point of view.

Protocol for C-mode, Host Link

Communication with PLC devices of the CS/CJ series.
For this communication in the PROMOTIC system can be used:
- PmOmronC - Driver for communication with OMRON PLC devices with protocol for C-mode
For easy integration of this driver into the application it is handy to use:
- Preconfigurations in group "Omron"


- The communication is done for serial link (COM1, COM2 ...).
- The PROMOTIC application is the Master (it means that it initiates the data transfer) from this communication point of view.

DeviceNet bus

The communication on the DeviceNet bus is accessible for the PROMOTIC application by the OPC interface. The PROMOTIC application is the OPC client and it communicates with the OPC server. The OPC server for this communication has to be purchased at the HW supplier.
