Communication with Telemecanique PLC devices

For communication of the PROMOTIC application with Telemecanique PLC devices by the Schneider-Electric company (http://www.schneider-electric.com), for example, the following methods can be used:

Communication by the Modbus protocol

The Telemecanique PLC devices support the communication by the Modbus protocol.
For this communication in the PROMOTIC system can be used:
- PmModbusMr - Driver for communication by the Modbus Master protocol.
For easy integration of this driver into the application it is handy to use:
- Preconfiguration "PmModbusMr - Communication set with data and panel for non-defined device"
For this driver, it is recommended to set the configurators:
- PmaCommGroup > Parameters > Special Parameters > Area base addresses:
- Base address "Bo = Coil/output bits" = 1
- Base address "Bi = Input bits" = 10001
- Base address "Ro = Holding/output registers" = 40001
- Base address "Ri = Input registers" = 30001
- PmaCommGroup > Parameters > Special Parameters > Maximum number of variables received in one message:
- Maximum number "Bo = Coil/output bits" = 64
- Maximum number "Bi = Input bits" = 64
- Maximum number "Ro = Holding/output registers" = 32
- Maximum number "Ri = Input registers" = 32

Communication by OPC server

An OPC server can also be used for these PLC devices (for example by the Schneider-Electric company) - see Communication by OPC interface.
Then the PROMOTIC application will communicate as a client by the OPC interface.
